Outrageously Fun and Crazy!

This is an anonymous blog written by a rave girl who loves the festival scene for its heart pounding, fist pumping music, and the crazy outfits you get to express yourself through. For the time being, you can call me Trichromed Soul.

EDM (electric dance music) festivals are known, not only for the music that makes you want to shake your hips, but also for the outrageous costumes and clothes the attendants show up in. From giant mouse heads to the kandi bracelets and everything in between, will be seen at an EDM festival.

The Great Thing About Festivals

My favorite thing about festivals is no matter how outrageous the outfit is, no one cares, and no one judges! It's all up to you and your preference, wear as little or a much as you want. But remember you will be dancing, so don't show up in something that is going to over heat you. Another reminder; you should ALWAYS wear closed toes shoes. It gets very crowded and stepping on feet is inevitable. But the most important thing to remember is dance, sing, and have fun!

Flower crowns: One of my favorite pieces

Flower crowns are a big part of the festival scene. You'll see them everywhere, they are very popular because you can get them cheap, and look super cute in them.

So what about the guys?

Most guys don't get quite as crazy with the outfits and girls do. They usually just wear their normal clothes with some kandi. Maybe a trippy looking shirt, although most of the time guys will go shirtless, for it gets very hot when you're dancing like no ones watching.

Big mouse heads are often used by guys. The mouse head originated from the dj Deadmau5. He wears a mouse head every time he performs. So sooner than later other guys caught on to the trend.

Full blown outfits: From major to minor

The best part about the festival scene, is no matter what you wear, its acceptable! Some girls go all out with full blown costumes. Fluffies, rave bras, tutus, and kandi all combined into one. Other girls like to keep it a little more simple. High waisted shorts, a crop top and maybe a flower crown. Of course it is totally up to your personal opinion and how comfortable you are with revealing skin. But don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone!

Rave bras are a rave girls best friend. They can be bought, or even made. I make all my own rave bras. Depending on how crazy you want to get with it, is all up to you. How long it takes also depends on how much you put on it. If buying a bra, they can get pretty expensive. Ranging in prices from forty to over a hundred dollars.

Fluffies!

They're the Ugg boots of raves. Fluffies are worn by mostly girls around the shin and ankles. Varying in many different colors, fluffies are the perfect way to tie together any outfit!
